XXXII Международный конгресс ИИСАА. 26–28 апреля 2023 г.
Россия и Восток. К 300-летию СПбГУ. Материалы конгресса 653 Литература стран Азии и Африки. Чтения памяти профессора А. А. Долининой (1923–2017) It was like an ominous thing, inexplicable thoughts scratched his heart, the white color settled deep in the depths of the main character›s mind and froze like a curse. The puzzle was solved, it was the color of the mourning clothes of widowed Korean women. Even without humans, the seasons change and flowers bloom. In the courtyard of the deserted house, which was visited by an unusually dry spring, the magnolia tree looked eerily as if it had taken over the big house by itself, and on top of it, the master was spreading a trembling and panic-like fog. It was actually an expression of the main character›s fear of not being able to meet his mother, brother and older nephew again. The sixth chapter of this novel is called «The Winter Tree». In this chapter, the writer mentions the willows growing by the water in front of his house. When the conflict between his mother and his daughter-in-law first deepened and began to quarrel, he ran away from home and sought solace under these willows: « 늦은 시간이었다. » 1 . «The time has come. The icy wind from the river was blowing into my ears. The withered branches of the willows looked pitiful. How did we get to this tune?». The main character, who rose from the grave in a whirlwind of questions, leaned helplessly on a willow branch. Thinking that the «soul of people» is embodied in a long-lived tree, he sought consolation from the willow tree. Suddenly he thought that willow is not a «spirit tree» but a «savings tree». The bark tugged glumly, as if hidden emotions were exploding from within the hardwood. Writer Pak Wanso attracts the reader with the uniqueness of female characters and descriptive tools in the works. Examining the images of women in stories and novels in the socio-historical background gives an opportunity to understand the «new image» of women in the period of cultural changes. Due to the nature elements, mountains, and plants used by the artist, the works have a special expression. References: 1. Choung Han-Sook. Understanding Modern Korea Literature.
